Steve Blum é um ator vocal americano que tem trabalhado em filmes de animação e videojogos.Steve é a voz do Zeb Orrelios na nova série animada Star Wars Rebels.

SWCP: Fale-nos do seu personagem na série Star Wars Rebels.

S.B: Zeb é um guerreiro. Um guerreiro altamente treinado, com um profundo senso de honra e lealdade, mas muitas vezes pouco paciente. Ele vai tomar o caminho mais rápido para resolver um problema, geralmente em deixar um rasto de Stormtroopers derrotados. Na verdade, dar tareias aos “cabeças de balde” tornou-se como um passatempo para ele. Ele tem um sentido de humor exagerado e responde apenas à Hera e ao Kanan. 

SWCP: Foi também a voz de vários personagens em vídeo jogos de Star Wars.Há algum que queira destacar?

S.B: Na verdade há muitos.Geralmente perguntam-me muito sobre o Andronikos Revel

 http://www.swtor.com/holonet/companions/andronikos-revel e o locutor Huttball.Eu recebo muitos e-mais de mulheres que parecem desfrutar das brincadeiras do Andronikos (sexytime) e temos de admitir que o Huttball é pura diversão.

SWCP:Está inscrito no livro dos recordes mundiais do Guiness como o ator vocal mais prolífico na indústria dos jogos de vídeo, tendo trabalhado para cerca de 300 jogos. O que tem a dizer sobre isso? 

S.B: Foi uma completa surpresa! Quando o Guinness inicialmente me perguntou - eu não sabia quantos personagens tinha interpretado. Nunca fiz a contagem e nunca tinha ganho nada antes. Tive que passar meses com o meu agente para verificar se os títulos listados estavam corretos. É uma grande honra. A cerimónia de apresentação foi engraçada. Eles saíram de Inglaterra e quiseram apresentar o prémio na E3 (uma grande Convenção de media em elctrónica,aqui em Los Angeles) e não consegui um bilhete para entrar! Eu estava a trabalhar em Avatar: A lenda de Korra no Nickelodeon nessa altura e eles gentilmente me permitiram fazê-lo nos seus estúdios na cabine de gravação. Infelizmente, eles andaram a correr durante uma hora naquele dia, assim aconteceu no lobby, completamente sem a menor cerimónia. 

SWCP: Tendo interpretado tantos personagens diferentes, consegue na sua vida fora dos estúdios adotar um timbre de voz normal ou de vez em quando dá por si a falar como os personagens que interpreta?

S.B: Sim, é meio involuntário nesse ponto. Mas de um jeito estranho, eles são todos a minha voz natural. Pelo menos eles ocupam espaço no meu cérebro como se o fossem. Eu simplesmente deixo-os sair cá para fora de vez em quando para evitar ferimentos internos.

SWCP: Sabemos que coleciona figuras dos personagens que interpreta. Há alguma por quem tenha maior carinho? 

S.B: Eu adoro todas elas - é como olhar para a minha história de vida e inspirar-me a ficar brincalhão. Muitos de nós esquecem-se de brincar. Eis algumas fotos de alguns dos meus favoritos:

SWCP: Gostaria de enviar alguma mensagem aos seus fãs?

S.B: Sim. Obrigado por assistirem, jogarem e amarem essas coisas como eu. Sem vocês, não teria um emprego. Sinto-me grato por todos os dias poder fazer o que amo e a promessa de continuar a fazê-lo com o melhor da minha habilidade. Espero visitar Portugal algum dia, em breve! Steve Blum is an American voice actor who worked in anime and vídeo games. Steve is the voice of Zeb Orrelios on the new animated series Star Wars Rebels.  

SWCP: Tell us about your character in the new animated series Star Wars Rebels. 

S.B: Zeb is a warrior.  A highly trained warrior, with a deep sense of honor and loyalty, but often little patience.  He'll take the quickest path to solve a problem, usually involving leaving a trail of busted up Storm Troopers.  In fact, bashing bucket heads has become something of a hobby for him.  He's got a wicked sense of humor and answers only to Hera and Kanan.

SWCP: You were also the voice of several characters for Star Wars video games. Do you want to highlight some of them? 

S.B:  There have indeed been many- the ones I'm usually asked about Andronikos Revel http://www.swtor.com/holonet/companions/andronikos-revel and the Huttball Announcer I get a lot of email from women who seem to enjoy the banter with Andronikos (sexy time) and let's face it, Huttball is just plain fun. 

SWCP: You were inducted into the Guiness book of world records as most prolific voice actor in video games, appearing in almost 300 games. What you have to say about that? 

S.B: It came as a complete surprise!  When Guinness initially inquired - I had no idea how many I'd worked on. I never kept track and had never won anything before.   I had to spend months with my agent to verify that the titles listed were correct.  It's a huge honor.  The presentation ceremony was funny though.  They came out from England and wanted to present the award at E3 (a huge electronic media convention here in Los Angeles) - and I couldn't get a ticket to get in!  I was working on Avatar: Legend of Korra at Nickelodeon at the time and they graciously allowed me to do it at their studios in the recording booth.  Unfortunately, they were running an hour and a half later that day, so it happened in the lobby, quite unceremoniously. 

SWCP: Played so many different characters, can you in your personal life out of the studios, to speak in a natural voice without every once in a while, find yourself talking like one of your characters? 

S.B: Yeah - it's kind of involuntary at this point.  But in a weird way, they're all my natural voice.  At least they occupy space in my brain as if they were.  I simply let them out once in a while to prevent internal injury.

SWCP: We know that you collect toy figures of your roles. Are there any that you have a special affection?  

S.B: I love them all - it's kind of like looking at my life history and inspires me to stay playful.  Many of us forget to play.  Here's a couple pics of some of my favs:

S.B: Yes - thank you for watching, playing and for loving this stuff as much as I do.  Without you guys, I wouldn't have a job.  I'm grateful every day for being able to do what I love and promise to continue doing it to the best of my ability.  I hope to travel to Portugal someday soon!  Get your local cons to invite me!
