Entrevistas SWCP: Jesse Jensen

E claro... Que a força esteja convosco!!!

English Version:

The Australian actor Jesse Jensen played the role of Master Jedi Saesee Tiin on Star Wars. Episode II.

SWCP: Tell us about your participation in Star Wars.

J.J: Well in 2000 I managed to get a job in the art department crew for Star Wars - attack of the clones, which was filming in Sydney, Australia. I was part of a team working on a months. At the same time my brother Zachariah was working on fitting out different department’s workshop areas. He had made friends with the prosthetic department and while very proud of my brother for managing to do that I was also a little jealous. I was even more jealous when George Lucas spotted him walking around with his full head they realized that both characters would have to be in the same scene for the large coliseum fight so he had to give one up. Like a good brother that he is he told them he and I headed up to audition for the role.... rest is history.

SWCP: Curiosly, your brother Zacharian also played a Jedi Master Role (Kit Fisto).Do both of you, usually compare the differences between your characters?

J.J: Ha,ha! No we don't really compare the differences, I am glad we are both Jedi Masters though. I'm sure one or the other wouldn't hear the end of it if one was a Jedi and one I have a few tricks up my sleeve as well.

SWCP: You participated in the series ` Survivor’. Which functions did you fulfill in this series?

J.J: Well, I was the Production Designer on the US Survivor series for years, but just recently I have moved up to be Co-Executive Producer on the show. The position is a lot more around the world working in exotic locations for 14 years with a bunch of friends.

SWCP: How do you see the image of your character (Saesee Tiin) turned into action figures? Do you collect these figures?

J.J: I love to see my character turned into action figures and yes I have a fair collection of figures for both mine and Zachariah's characters. I have a few friends at Hasbro and new Fighter Pod in my character which was pretty cool. I also really like the Lego characters. Zac and I both grew up with Lego so it’s pretty cool to think there is a character modeled R2 unit, again very cool.

SWCP: Do you agree with the opinion of most of Star Wars fans that your character might be better used? That could be entered in more stages of the movie?

J.J: Yes of course. I think we didn't put up anywhere near a good enough fight in the confrontation with Palpatine. I would also like to have seen a few more action scenes of myself droids. I did hear rumor of an independent Seventh Samurai style Jedi movie with 7 Jedi's on a quest, now that would be awesome and I'd love to see both Kit Fisto.

SWCP: What message would you like to leave for the Portuguese fans of Star Wars?

J.J: Thanks for all your support; the Star Wars universe wouldn't exist without all us fans....and of course...... May the force be with you!!!!
